Silkies are one of the most beloved and distinctive chicken breeds in the world, prized for their incredibly soft, fur-like plumage that lacks the barbicels of typical feathers. These gentle, docile birds make exceptional pets and broody mothers, known for their calm temperament and affectionate nature. They come in a variety of colors and sport signature crests, feathered feet, and five toes — making them a true showstopper in any backyard flock.
Satins are the smooth-feathered counterpart to the Silkie — carrying the same unique Silkie genetics including black skin, blue earlobes, and extra toes, but with a conventional feather structure that gives them a strikingly sleek, polished appearance. Both breeds are small, friendly, and full of personality. Our flock is carefully bred to maintain true-to-type conformation and correct breed genetics.
Our flock is certified through the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP), a federal and state cooperative program that works to eliminate disease in poultry flocks across the United States. NPIP certification means our birds are tested and monitored for serious poultry diseases including Pullorum and Typhoid, giving you confidence that your eggs come from a clean, healthy, disease-monitored flock.
